The Miss Wakefield 2010 final will be an exciting and entertaining event where beautiful and ambitious girls can be seen promoting themselves with the added thrill of competition.
Marvyn Williams
Marvyn Williams who was in the last series of ‘Shipwrecked’ will be co-presenting the show with Miss England Finalist 2009- Anna Watts. It will be a fashion show style competition and will be entertaining and fun.
Miss Wakefield 2009 will prove herself to have more than just good looks. She will also be intelligent, charming, graceful and confident and be a kind, caring person, able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
The winner of Miss Wakefield will take part in the Miss England Semi-finals which take place at Champney Springs in June where the top 10 scoring contestants will go forward to the Grand Final in London, scheduled for September.
With the ever increasing rate of girls following their dreams to become models, TV presenters, or actresses, contests provide the exposure and helping hand in making a start in the industries. Through taking part in the regional heats, contestants also gain the confidence and experience needed to go that one step further.
More than 6000 beautiful women will take part in local heats across England, competing in the hope of winning fantastic prizes and the chance of earning the Miss England 2009 crown. The winner will go on to represent England at Miss World 2009 and compete to win $100, 000 and the chance to travel around the globe.
Miss World is now the second most watched TV programme in the world, with 2.6 billion people tuning in over 140 countries.
‘Beauty Competitions’ have traditionally been used to raise money for charity, and tens of thousands of pounds have been raised each year by Miss England heats .
